Dear Neighbour,

I bumped into you last night in the close, and again we said we must all meet up again – but really, it’s our turn to have you at ours. You’ve hosted an evening at yours, and our other neighbours have had us all at theirs, so it really is our turn. We should do it soon, because we’ll never have decent enough weather to have it in the back court. And anyway, it’s all been landscaped recently. The tree stump that looks like a table is still there though, so we could try to fit around that. It’s rubbish though, we’ve been here two years and have been saying the same thing every time we meet. We should make use of the fact that we all live so close to each other, and make more of an effort to spend time together,

From your neighbour,

Martin
