Dear Neighbour,

I have lived in Pollokshields for 32 years and in a tenement. I have always known each of the other five families in the close very well and regard them as friends. 

The area feels like a village although it has become very much multi-cultural. This is an aspect I enjoy very much but would like to know more of the neighbours from other cultures and religions. 

I know that the primary schools are working hard to promote the children’s knowledge and understanding of other cultures. Is there more that could be done around this at a community level?
