On the 6th and 7th July 2013 visitors attending the ALBERT DRIVE Event Weekend at Tramway were issued with the following invitation:

'You are invited to get to know your neighbours and learn more about them by sitting together and sharing a meal.'

The ALBERT DRIVE Shared Meal was hosted in Tramway 4 and made up of specially prepared food by a collection of local shop owners and community organisations from along Albert Drive. Together they created a buffet made up of dishes that reflected the different flavours, cultural influences and culinary traditions that can be found in Pollokshields and offered it to their neighbours.

The ALBERT DRIVE Shared Meal was free and served to the community by volunteers and local helpers. A long central table was set for 50 people at a time and the room was decorated with breathtaking displays of flowers donated by the New Victoria Gardens and arranged by Fiona Sutherland.

Over the weekend the ALBERT DRIVE Shared Meal served around 550 people from the local community.
