The dream team hits Albert Drive

April 6, 2013

Had a great afternoon yesterday with Rachel and Viviane. What a gorgeous, crisp and sunny day it was! I met the girls at Albert Drive studios and had a wee conflab over what was to be done. Just reading over the letters from our neighbours was pretty inspiring and began to see how much potential this part of the process actually could have. Rachel had prepped everything which was amazing. We started at the Tramway and already people were asking questions or sharing thoughts and local news with us. Working our way up the drive, we encountered some more people. Gordon helped us out when we found ourselves vertically challenged outside the hardware store. Cheers!

In general, the consensus was that this part of the project was great as it gave the public an opportunity to respond in a way they felt appropriate. A few comments had already been added to the letters.

As we got to the opposite end of Albert Drive, which felt like another world, we met a man and his daughter. He was intrigued by the letter. His wife is blind and he said how much she would appreciate the letters in braille. This is something that Rachel was already looking into so was great to know how helpful this could be. I left the sunny drive today inspired.
