After weeks of meeting and talking to people the filming has truly begun. Met Ewen and Dorothy at their homes where they shared their thoughts on community, music and their love of travel.
During my research period, I left sign up forms at various local shops and asked people to nominate interesting people from around Pollokshields. I was given Ewen’s detail and phoned him up to arrange a chat. Dorothy answered and was a bit suspicious about who was inquiring about her husband and why (rightly so – I could have been selling super-fast broadband). When I mentioned he had been nominated to have a film made about him by someone in the community, she laughed and said ‘Well that person is getting crossed off my list’. Slightly worried I explained that Rozy from the pharmacy had given me the sheet and Dorothy suddenly replied ‘Oh that was me’!
Today I have just spend a wonderful few hours in the company of Ewen and Dorothy and I look forward to sharing their stories with you on Albert Drive TV.
